The Leadership Team
Kelly Utt-Grubb
Founder/Principal
kelly [at] creativemediapeople.com
Kelly Utt-Grubb graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The University of Tennessee and a Master of Science degree in Interactive Communications from Quinnipiac University. Her diverse professional background includes retail management, research in a developmental psychology lab and a family naming consulting business called Name Counsel, through which her work has been featured in major media including the Los Angeles Times, PINK Magazine, and iParenting, as well as on NPR and numerous other radio shows across North America. Known nationally as an insightful and creative naming expert, Kelly has a knack for unearthing the most authentic core of a brand and then positioning it in a way that ensures the market will respond positively.
Kelly is also the Founder of Letterberry, a social website bringing thoughtful communication from the days of letter writing to modern social media, and she co-owns a handcrafted furniture company called Carolina Farmhouse with her husband, Sam. Thanks to Kelly's creative and business development efforts during the company's first year in business, Carolina Farmhouse designs have been photographed with First Lady Michelle Obama, purchased by reality television stars and a Trump Tower resident, and were seen on the September 2011 season premiere of ABC's hit show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Kelly combines her formal education, real-world experience and passion for creative endeavors to meet the needs of Creative Media People clients. She lives in North Carolina with Sam and their 11 and 9-year-old sons.

Dee Cater
Graphic Designer
dee [at] creativemediapeople.com
Dee earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising Design from the school of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. She loves the entire creative process: the research, the creative strategy, the concept, and the design all coming together to give birth to an idea with the power to move people and shape cultures. She finds it inspiring to witness a great idea and fantastic execution cause a reaction and a lasting impression.
In her spare time, you'll find this self-professed nerd Wikipedia-ing, watching Sailor Moon and The Boondocks, or reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, which was recommended to her by an ad professor.
Education: BFA, Advertising Design, Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York, USA
Sarah Fitch
Content Strategist
sarah [at] creativemediapeople.com
Sarah Fitch has been a writer for most of her life, whether she's working on poetry, short stories, or entries for her personal blog. She studied English and Creative Writing at George Washington University in her hometown of Washington, DC, before falling in love with the Triangle area of North Carolina and moving there to complete her Master's degree in Literature at North Carolina State University.
Sarah got her first glimpse of the future as a content writer at a DC-based web development company, as her job shifted from the Web 1.0 model of sitting at her desk and writing content for customers to read, to the Web 2.0 model of talking to customers and encouraging them to contribute their own words, pictures and videos. Since then, she has worked on social media projects with SAS Institute and other East Coast companies, including both for-profit and volunteer work.
When she isn't in front of a computer, Sarah enjoys dancing, cooking for friends and family, and spending time with her husband and their Welsh corgi, MacGuffin.

Richard Gates
Graphic Designer
richard [at] creativemediapeople.com
Richard earned a degree in graphic design from Campbell University, but his dazzling graphic creations for logos, newspapers, magazines and websites are clearly a product of the kind of talent that can't be taught. High profile clients have taken notice, and Richard has had the opportunity to do work for Apple, Nikon and Mercedes-Benz.
When he isn't whipping up a graphic masterpiece for a Creative Media People client, Richard enjoys the great outdoors. On sunny days, you'll find him skateboarding, wakeskating, snowboarding, biking, hiking and camping.
Education: BA, Graphic Design, Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, USA
Anthony Serrano
Web Developer
anthony [at] creativemediapeople.com
Growing up fascinated by technology paid off for Anthony. He remembers building computers and taking them apart as a kid, and it wasn't long until he was developing community websites and running his own Linux based Web Hosting company. Over the years he has worked with a wide range of programming languages, software, hosting environments, and Internet technologies. We might have to start calling him Michelangelo because he thinks of code as art, ready to be sculpted and manipulated.
In his spare time, you can find Anthony gaming, researching new technology, or watching documentaries on Science and Quantum Physics.
Education: AS, Website Administration, Florida Career College, Miami, Florida, USA
