Case Study: Beat This Fish

The Creative Media People team is proud to have helped Jim Buck and Jim Gigrich with logo design, photography, and back-end development of the soon-to-be #1 fishing competition, fishing social network, and fishing information collection website in the United States.

The site concept was created sitting on the end of Jim Buck’s dock at Lake Gaston, North Carolina with a fishing pole, a fishing buddy (Jim Gigrich), a few beers and a great idea.

The site includes the following:

Fishing Competition- Leader Boards will track the biggest catch by species on a water body, state and national level, as well as who caught the most fish.

Social Network of Fishermen/Fishing Clubs- Users will be able to connect with fishing buddies or chat with other fishermen to understand what’s biting, what lures to use, or how to plan their next trip.

Aggregated Data- New information, such as the biggest bass catch in a given month or the average weight of a bass catch on a given lake, will be produced.

Bringing Beat This Fish to life was a big undertaking, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of making it happen.
