For his whole life, Brian Cordileone had dreamed of owning his own restaurant. As a teenager, he got a job in the kitchen at a franchise of Rudinoʼs Grill, a Triangle-based chain of sports bars and restaurants that has successfully expanded throughout the Southeast. After getting his degree in Hospitality Management, Brian became general manager of two Rudinoʼs locations.
When he met Micheal Robbins, an experienced restaurant cook and all-around good guy, they knew that they were the perfect team to go into business together. Sure enough, Rudinoʼs gave them their own franchise — making Brian the first person outside of the Rudino family to own a Rudinoʼs — and between Brianʼs business expertise and Michealʼs genius in the kitchen, their Rudinoʼs Grill and Sports Pad became something special within the Rudinoʼs family, with more menu options and a comfy atmosphere for friends and families to enjoy their favorite sports together.

While Brian and Micheal got ready for their grand opening, The Creative Media People went to work on making their online “home base” just as stylish and inviting as the restaurant itself. We wanted the style to sizzle like one of their premium pizzas. So our trusty photographer visited the restaurant to take lots of quirky, eye-catching photos of the place itself, the food, and the friendly staff. And designer Brandon Goldsworthy created a fabulous artdeco inspired logo, making the Sports Pad stand out from all the other Rudinoʼs franchises with a little bit of Rat Pack Swagger. We pulled it all together with a smart, high-end site design that put the focus on the Sports Padʼs biggest asset: its mouthwatering menu.
We werenʼt done yet, though! As Brian and Michealʼs dream became a tasty reality, we helped get them started with a public relations and social media package. We helped them organize and promote events like a smash hit Community Rocks Festival, and share news and specials with their fans on Facebook and FourSquare, as well as sharing the restaurantʼs unique personality. We even helped them create a regular email newsletter to stay in touch with all of their fans and regulars.
These days, Rudinoʼs Grill and Sports Pad is doing great, wrapping up their second summer of big events and parties. Weʼre happy to have been involved in making Brian and Michealʼs vision such a success. And weʼre glad we did every time we stop by for a slice of pepperoni!
